Conner Guido

My son, Conner Guido, lost his life at age 16 in a car crash in Yorktown, Virginia shortly after leaving the Tabb High School Homecoming Dance on October 26, 2019. Conner was a star athlete at Tabb High as the Varsity Goalie, and he also ran hurdles for the track team. He was active for many years in both Legacy and VB City Travel Soccer, all while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. Conner was the front seat passenger in a vehicle leaving the dance. Just a short distance from Tabb High School, the car was estimated to have left the road at 70+ mph in a 35-mph zone. The back seat passenger as well as the driver were also killed. Since the crash the driver of the car was found to be underaged and unlicensed and had been driving to and from school for 4 weeks having been given the keys to a high-performance BMW at age 15 before this night. Following the tragic death of my son I created, The Gweedo Memorial Foundation, an IRS approved Non-Profit 501C3. Through a variety of legislative and educational efforts the mission of the Foundation is to educate new teenage drivers and their parents on safe driving practices.
