Both killed by a distracted driver in Fort Worth on a freeway, as we were coming back home from seeing Christmas lights. He was driving over 70 or 75 mph, never saw our car, so he never applied his breaks. He hit us from behind, shot us 380 feet forward from point of impact to where we stopped, instantly killing both my son and daughter.

That is me, their mother, in this picture. On this day the picture was taken, it was a couple of weeks after the crash; I had all my ribs broken, but I wanted to say goodbye to them on that freeway. It was painful, both mentally and physically.
